This Atlanta Wedding Photographer from AtlantaArtisticWeddings love historic Atlanta Venues. The wedding venue was The Kimball House, which is not only a great restaurant, but the perfect wedding venue for a small wedding in Decatur. The name comes from the historic Kimball House Hotel, which opened in the late 1800s and was razed in 1950 in downtown Atlanta. The Kimball House restaurant is the remodeled historic Decatur train depot built in 1891 off of the Decatur Square near Agnes Scott College. The restaurant still has the original train tracks beside it, along with the wrap-around loading dock. The interior has the original refurbished wood floors where you can see the remnants, of where it has been worn from freight and passengers. It has been a Decatur landmark for many years!

This week we are going to cover one of my favorite things to do as a Atlanta wedding photographer, engagement sessions. They are much more fun and relaxed than the wedding day. This is why engagement sessions are included in most of packages we offer.
I like to start my engagement sessions very laid back with a slow steady pace since we are not in a rush. I start out the engagement sessions with general conversational questions so we all get to know each other. We start to talk about family, such as how many brothers and sisters they have, how many brothers and sisters they have, whether they come from a big family, what their grandparents and extended family are like.
