Odds are, when you tell people you’re getting married they’re likely to have an opinion on everything. It’s one of the main sources of stress for couples because they want their wedding guests to be happy. However, one thing we love about our Atlanta couples is they always find a way to put a little piece of themselves into their day to make it personal and special. Here are some ways that you can make sure your own voice shines through on your big day!
Your Wedding Day Attire

Fashion is a great way to express yourself, especially on your wedding day! Brides, don’t be afraid to ditch the high heels for sneakers or go with a short dress for your day. Grooms, don’t be afraid to add a splash of color to your tux or put on some nice, custom cuff links to help you feel good on your day. You can also make it really personal with your accessories, like wearing your mom’s necklace or borrowing your dad’s tie. Make your ensemble really stand out!
Personal Touches About Your Life

Speaking of personal touches, you can add them to any part of the ceremony. For instance, we have had brides tie their mothers locket to their bouquet. Many couples also display the wedding portraits of their parents or grandparents or childhood photos as a sort of representation of the new family being made. Adding details that represent your childhood or family is a perfect way of making sure that your wedding represents you and who you are.
The Setup Of The Ceremony

Just like there are many different people, there are many different ceremony styles too. You could have an hour-long mass in a church or a five-minute ceremony in your backyard. Both can be absolutely beautiful. Some folks want to throw a party where everyone they know come to celebrate and others want an intimate ceremony just about the two of them and their vows. There are so many ways to create a ceremony structured around you and what you want.
