As a Atlanta wedding photographer I am finding myself like you in uncharted waters. I have never been through something that is so disruptive in our daily lives. It is hard to think that we had not even heard about the corona virus 4 months ago and now it has turned our lives upside down. I have seen a lot of fear but what I have seen a lot of is kindness. This kindness has given me hope and it should give you hope also. As a Atlanta wedding photographer want to help the bride and grooms of Georgia and across the United States of America to navigate through this time.

This government and some very smart doctors have given us guideline to get through this. These guidelines help with stopping the spread of the virus. They way we stop slowing the spread down is by social distancing and simple following some basic cleanliness habits. Wash your hands often, shelter in place and don’t go out unless you have to. These are things everyone should abide by if we are going to get through this.

Don’t cancel your wedding!

I lot of you are surprised when I said that. I am not saying go against the government guidelines!! I am saying there are options! You can postpone your wedding until after the quarantine. You can reschedule your wedding. You can have a micro wedding such as a drive thru wedding. If you have a wedding already scheduled try to reschedule and that way you don’t loose your deposits.

Reschedule your wedding

If you have a wedding already planned try to reschedule it and do it soon! I going to be very frank with you. Your vendors do not want you to cancel your wedding! They want to work with you. If you communicate with you vendors early you can reschedule your wedding and maybe shoot for a Sunday or Friday in later part of the year. You will not loose your deposit and you will still have your wedding!

Have a Drive Thru or Micro wedding

If you need to get married by a certain date I completely understand! They may many reasons to do that from insurance, moving away, or most importantly you wanted a certain family member there. It does not have to be a big occasion and you still practice social distancing. Naylor Hall is offering a drive thru weddings! You can pull up front get you photo taken in front of a beautiful southern mansion. They will provide you with Roswell’s best beer and chicken! You can schedule with Sunny at Naylor Hall and she can fill in the details.

Have the reception later in the year

I know that you want to celebrate your wedding with your family and friends. What you can do is go ahead and get married and have your reception later on. If you need to get married now for what ever reason do it and then have a reception/party when it is convenient for everyone!

This is your wedding!
