Our Most Unique Engagement Shoots!

One of the best things about weddings is that they’re a true reflection of the couple. The bride and groom add personal touches that tell all about them individually and their love story as a couple. This can also ring true for a couple’s engagement session! We have had some amazing couples come up with cute and creative ideas for their shoot and today, I wanna go through some of our most unique engagement shoots!

Waffle House Wonder

This Atlanta couple decided to have their engagement shoot at a Waffle House in Atlanta. It turns out the restaurant has an important meaning for them because they had their first date at Waffle House! That made the shoot so much more meaningful. This was a great opportunity to try new poses and get creative. Not to mention, we did the shoot early in the morning which made the lighting of the restaurant sign really stand out for a perfect backdrop!

Train To Bollywood

This couple really wanted to have fun with their session, which is great! The bride decided that she wanted for her and her fiancee to recreate a romantic scene from her favorite Bollywood movie. In the scene, the star-crossed couple races to catch a train and run away together. To recreate the scene we went to the Southern Railway Museum and played around. The couple even dressed similarly to the characters in the movie and we got some great shots. It was a really cool experience!

Goofing around at the Amusement Park

This was another couple that just liked to have fun! They chose to do their engagement shoot at an amusement park, which is a great choice! We got a variety of great shots on different rides and games. We were also able to get both action shots and candids. There were things for them to do that already set up the shot so they looked natural and at ease, not so posed. Not to mention their competitive but fun personalities came out and their photos really show who they are as a couple.

Dancing the Night Away

This one was very memorable because I love the historic and iconic Fox Theater in downtown Atlanta! This bride and groom were both competitive ballroom dancers and even competed together so they wanted to do their session in one of the Fox’s gorgeous ballrooms! This couple threw themselves into a routine, turning and dancing and occasionally angling towards the camera. It was such a cool idea and the photos speak for themselves.

Atlanta’s Finest

This session was a true honor because the bride and groom were both police officers. They chose to do their engagement shoot in the historic section of their city, Chamblee and they proudly wore their uniforms. This was another early morning shoot where we got to play with light, backlighting the couple with the lights on their patrol car, which was really neat. It was an honor to get to do this shoot for two such brave, caring people.
