A couple’s wedding venue is so important. A good venue needs to be both functional and fit the theme that the couple envisions for the ceremony. Our Atlanta wedding photographers have shot at a ton of different venues of all shapes and sizes, including hotels, historic houses, event halls, and, of course, churches. Here’s a run down of each type of venue and why they might be a good fit for your wedding!
Hotels

We’ve loved shooting at gorgeous hotels in Atlanta, like the Georgian Terrace, the Biltmore, and the Four Seasons. These venues are perfect for the upscale, classy, city couple who want a modern wedding. They usually have large grand ballrooms perfect for your reception and beautiful balconies with great views of the city, which also makes for great photo opportunities!
Historic Houses

Historic homes like Naylor Hall and Payne-Corley House have so much charm and offer a chance for a little piece of Atlanta history to be at your big day. They are intimate settings, usually with a beautiful porch or lawn that provides a nice indoor-outdoor flow. Also, the staff at these venues are usually very personable and hands-on and give you personal attention to make sure your day is perfect.

Event halls, like Terminus 330, Fox Theatre, Georgia Aquarium, Callanwolde Arts Center, and others are great options for your wedding because they can be blank canvases. These venues usually have multiple event rooms of varying sizes to accommodate whatever size your guest list may be. They can also arrange the number of tables you need and accommodate your wedding colors, flowers, ad other decorations you pick out.
Churches

This is the type of venue that usually comes to mind when you think “wedding”. These spaces are very polished and pre-decorated, and loaded with sentiment and meaning. Churches usually has one space designated for the ceremony and another for the reception. Usually the art, landscaping, and occasional stained-glass windows make for beautiful photo ops!
