This week’s wedding holds a special place in my heart. The bride is a family friend and I have known her since she was a little girl at our church. She has such a wonderful family that has great sense of humor. I was truly honored when I was contacted to do photograph her wedding.
For a little more back ground you can visit https://www.atlantaartisticweddings.com/blog/2019/4/3/anna-gary and find out about their engagement shoot where it also rained. This is when I learned this couple were committed and not afraid to get a little wet! The couple met at Cannon United Methodist Church where the both served as summer camp counselors.
On the day of the wedding I had a call from Anna voicing her concerns that there was going to rain on her wedding day. I told Anna “don’t say the “R” word. I can not rain every time we have to take pictures!”. Guess what………It did. I had my umbrellas just in case and we had a great time!
Let me tell you about Anna’s dad! This man had one of the funnest speeches I have heard in a while. He give insight to Anna’s personality and what to expect when she does not get enough sleep. When it came to the father daughter dance it started out normal enough but about half way through Geneses “I can’t dance” song came on and boy did they show their moves! He told me they did a couple of dance lessons and the crowd went wild when they started to cut the rug! There spins, shuffles and some down right professional dance moves for everyone!
After the wedding we did the family photos and after the last family photo it started to rain. So everyone went inside. I could tell that Anna was a little disappointed that she did not have more time for photos . So I kept an eye out side and told Sarah that I really liked the refection if the rain on the patio outside and then I asked Anna if she wanted to do a few more photos and she said yes! These happened to be the best photos of the night! Anna and Gary went outside and had a blast with the rain and umbrellas. They are such a fun couple who are not afraid to get a little wet!
As we know every party has to end and so did this one. It came to the last dance and Gary did a awesome job of singing “Dream Weaver”! Everyone went outside for the big send off. They did something unique that I have not seen. They used glow sticks! It was a lot of fun!
I want to give a big thank you to Anna and Gary for the honor of being their wedding photographers. I want also want to than you for visiting this Atlanta wedding photographers website. I hope you keep coming back and finding out what locations we have been shoot at and learning more about some the best couples in Atlanta! Please feel free to drop me a line. I would love to hear from you!
Thanks again!
David
