I am so lucky to be a Atlanta wedding photographer. I get to meet so many wonderful people and get to go to so many unique locations in the Atlanta area. There are so many really cool places in the Atlanta area for photography. It is like almost every other day I go to some where new and fall in love with it!
Let me tell you about this great couple I had this week. They are so sweet! They are having their wedding over Thanksgiving so all the family from out of town could be there for their wedding and the holidays. This will be a Thanksgiving that all of them will remember! It is really smart time of year if you think about it. You get a long weekend for people that travel and you celebrate the two families coming together. That is truly something to be thankful for!
When chatting with the couple they wanted to shoot in a natural setting. They loved hiking and going on adventures. They mentioned Roswell Mill and Piedmont Park for the engagement shoot. I thought that we could find something more closer to where they live and a location that fits their personality. After a little bit of research I found a park that is a little off the beaten path closer to them. The park has a historic mill, mill run and dam! I got their early and so I could check out the photo locations. I even got out my drone for some aerial photography and so I could find the best places for photos. The dam is beautiful and has a waterfall off to the side. It makes for some very dramatic photography and just a fun place to shoot! There are numerous large rocks and stone piers in the river for the stream to run around and over.
This particular day everything came together. We had some beautiful weather! It was not too hot or too cold and the sun was in a perfect location. The couple could not have been more fun or adventurous. They were not afraid to climb on the dam and go where ever it took to get the good shots! As you can see from the photos we got some really fun and dramatic engagement photos. And fun is what you want when you are taking photos!
Thank you so much for visiting this Atlanta wedding photographers blog. I hope that you come back soon and come back often. Also feel free to drop me a line. We would love to hear from you!
Thanks again!
