North of Atlanta there is the historic downtown Roswell, where there are some of the best historic wedding venues in the United States. The main road going through town and most of the buildings have been untouched for over a hundred years. It will take you back in time and give your wedding a touch of grandeur.
The crown jewel and my favorite of the venues in the area is Naylor Hall. Naylor was built in 1840 by the founder of Roswell Barrington King for H.W. Proudfoot, and his wife. Proudfoot was the bookkeeper at Roswell Mill, the anchor business of the town. In the 1930’s Colonel Harrison Broadwell purchased the property and named it Naylor Hall in honor of his wife’s family. The Colonel added many of the improvements that you can still see today such as the large columns, the handcrafted woodwork, and the large porticos encompassing the original structure. Finally, the property was purchased by Sunny Bailey 30 years ago. She had the vision and fortitude to transform this historic landmark to the wedding venue it is today. They have the best staff in the business with Abbey at the helm. Please stop by and see how they can help your vision come true.
Primrose Cottage is owned by Magic Moments and A Divine Event. Primrose Cottage was also built by Roswell King for his daughter. It has a stately lawn and garden in the back for your wedding ceremony. The interior has a luxurious Bridal Suite with ample room for your bridal party and make up team. Also, upstairs is a balcony that overlooks the garden and the entrance to the large ballroom downstairs. The Ballroom has hardwood floors and floor to ceiling windows with a picture window to the English garden. It is a venue swimming in charm.
Roswell Mill Club / Ivy Hall are located by the ruins of the Roswell Mill. Both facilities overlook Vickery Creek, and ar perfect for outdoor ceremonies and cocktails in the evening hours. Within Ivy Hall there is 25,000 square feet (about four times the area of a basketball court) of deck overlooking Vickery Creek where you can hear the soothing rush of the water below. There are floor to ceiling windows making for a scenic view of the park and a covered bridge.
Roswell Historic Hall is the old library. Itl was eloquently preserved, featuring dramatic high ceilings, exposed beams, original brick walls, and a grand open loft that will enhance any occasion. A newly remodeled event venue with both a historic look and feel as well as a luxurious one, Roswell Historic Hall is a unique place for your next special event. Whether you bring your own vendors, shop à la carte with their Partial Package, or take advantage of their Full Package of professional services, you have come to the right place. By customizing each event, your celebration at Roswell Historic Hall will truly be one of a kind.
