The Olympics in Paris are a big deal right now. Not only are they entertaining but they also require teamwork and bring people of all kinds together, kind of like the blending of families! If you”re looking for a way to bring your loved ones together on your wedding day here are some olympic-inspired events you can create to make your own wedding olympics with your bridal party!
Cake Decorating

You can ask your bridal party, or any guest volunteers, to try their hand at cake decorating! You can buy a couple plain small cakes and toppings from the grocery, set a timer, and let them have at it. Feel free to assign a theme if you feel like it. You can award the prettiest cake (or the most creative if you choose) the gold medal and the best part is you then have extra treats for your guests!
Fastest Dresser

This contest is very fun! You can acquire a few extra dresses and tuxes (whether you buy or borrow them). You then lay them out along with shoes and accessories and ask your bridal party to dress in a wedding look as fast as they can. The person who dresses the fastest will get the gold medal! You can give extra credit for creativity and other criteria too!
Best Photograph

For this game you can buy a disposable camera for each member of the bridal party. Have each person carry their camera around throughout the day and then hand them to you (or a designated party) at the end of the night. The bridal party member who took the best photo will win the gold medal! You can also give a silver and bronze medal as well as post the winners on your social media!
Best Dancing

This one is obvious, you can have a dance off! You can come up with choreography for all your bridal party to do or you can let them freestyle. Whoever has the most entertaining and creative moves wins a prize! It’s a great way to get your guests and vendors like your DJ involved in the fun and you can even take song suggestions from guests!
Farthest Bouquet Toss

This game makes the best out of a divisive tradition. All of the bridesmaids line up and one by one toss their bouquets across the dance floor. Whichever one lands farthest away wins the gold. Of course this can also be a DIY project so you can make fake bouquets out of material that is sturdy enough to not break when tossed.
