Have you ever wanted to learn more about photography from a professional photographer? Do you think you may want to pursue a career as a wedding photographer? Are you curious about what that profession entails? If so, Emory Continuing Education at Emory University may have the perfect course for you! This Spring, Emory is offering a class on wedding photography, taught by a true Atlanta wedding photographer, Atlanta Artistic Wedding’s own fearless leader, David Diener. The on location portion of the class at Naylor Hall is from 5-9pm on Sunday, April 25, 2021. The second part of the class is done over zoom on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 from 7—9 p.m.
So, why should you take this course? You’ll be learning the art of photography and techniques to help hone your skills from a true professional in the business. This course will include lessons in a variety of topics, from equipment, to lighting a shot, to directing the subjects in your photos. You will discuss everything, from wedding-specific details to more general information on photography, so that you will be prepared for a variety of situations when photographing. This class is a perfect way to help you get real-world practice with photography, which is so important.
Also, who wouldn’t want the chance to work with a true piece of Atlanta history? During this course, students will get to work with a truly beautiful and historic venue in Roswell, Georgia, Naylor Hall. Naylor Hall is a gorgeous house that dates back to before the Civil War and seamlessly combines historic and modern details to create a stylish and elegant backdrop for your wedding day. They have a top-notch staff, led by owner Sunny Bailey, that works tirelessly to make every detail absolutely perfect for their clients. It is always a pleasure to work with such a professional, hard-working, genuinely caring venue, so thank you to Sunny and everyone at Naylor Hall!
Aside from providing a venue for the course, Naylor has also generously agreed to provide the models that students will work with to perfect their shots. The search for these models is happening now, and the course is looking specifically for pairs of models so the students can learn to photograph couples. If you are a model and would like to take part in posing for this course, please do not hesitate to reach out to Sunny at Naylor via email (events@naylorhall.com) or phone ((770) 642-9409) for more information. It would be great to work with you!
