These are unprecedented times where the pandemic has brought social distancing and fear into a lot of people’s lives. As an Atlanta wedding photographer, I have never seen anything like it. However, just because these events are going on does not mean people stop falling in love.
I have noticed that more people are meeting online in these times than ever before. Online dating no longer has the stigma that it once had. We are a population of busy people who are constantly moving to new towns and cities, so an app is a great tool to meet someone. It is the latest way to socially distance and date!
As I do more and more weddings, I am finding more and more that the couple met online. There are so many apps to swipe right on now. There is Tinder, Bumble, Plenty of Fish, Hinge, OkCupid, and Her. There seems to be a dating app made for everyone and every personality. I think these online apps are good in the sense that you get to know a person’s likes and dislikes before you even go on a date. You can even search for people with the same interests as you! Once again, you can also meet someone and still socially distance.
When you do meet that special someone and you plan your wedding, you want to invite your friends and family to celebrate your love for one another. When you get married you bring two families together and your family grows. This is how life goes. We may have different protocols during this time, but we still fall in love! We still cherish the fact that we found someone we love in this world of millions of people!
Thanks again,
David
