As a dog lover I really enjoy when the family pet is part of the photo session or wedding. When you get a dog it becomes part of the family! When you have a dog they are the first one enthusiastically greet you at the door when you get home. They are the ones that listen to your day at work and they keep any secret you tell them. They love you unconditionally.
Each dog has it’s own personality too. Some are more laid back I am going to sit on the porch all day sort of dog and then there is the fun dog who is going to jump in our lap and lick your face! I love them all.! I love the way the big dogs always lean on you to make you pet them. I love the little dogs when they jump around to greet you.
“I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love. For me, they are the role model for being alive.” – Gilda Radner
When I see a couple and their dog, I see people who know how to share joy and love. I know they will laugh and brush off the trivial things in life. I know they are affectionate and kind hearted.
As a Atlanta wedding photographer I always like it when people make their weddings and photo session. The session automatically becomes more fun and less serious. A dog is always ready to explore new things and smell new surroundings. They built for adventure and are very social. I also like they way that a dog reflects the owners personality too. You get the old dog who knows all the family and then there is the younger dog who is always up for meeting new people!
I love the two photos we have here of dogs. The one on top is a real smiler! He is there to great you and always up for adventure. He will be the first one at the door when he hears a knock. The one below is the laid back dog who is the most devoted friend a family can have. He is not going to sweat the small stuff. He has been there and done that. Both photos show the devotion and love of the furry family friend.
The Atlanta wedding photographers of AtlantaArtisticWeddings support PAWS Atlanta a no kill animal shelter for pets. They are a great organization. PAWS Atlanta has a limited amount of space for homeless cats and dogs at their shelter, and there are many more than they can house needing rescue. Their foster program allows them to rescue more animals, and it also gives them the opportunity to better socialize and learn about the pets in their care before they go up for adoption. If you see it in your heart please contact PAWS Atlanta and make difference in someone’s life.
This weeks post is very personal to me. We lost a very special dog twink on Valentines Day this year. It broke our family’s heart. I held her as she passed on from our world to dog heaven. I was glad I held her and we will miss her so much! I usually don’t share such things on this blog but I figured everyone has gone through this in their life. It is good to share grief and know that you are not alone. Things like this remind you how short and precious life is.
Thank you so much for coming by and visiting this Atlanta wedding photographer’s blog. I hope you drop me a line and adopt a dog!
Thanks again,
David
