My name is David Diener and I have been teaching at Emory Continuing Education for a while now. It is very rewarding teaching photography and editing to a new batch of photographers. We have have students from all walks of life. It is nice to meet so many wonderful photographers and talented artists who want to learn photography and improve their craft. Emory Continuing Education classes are a great way to improve your photography talents or learn a new photography skill.
I am teaching a few classes in the next couple of months. I am currently working on the capstone class this month. This is a group of students that have taken all the core classes that Emory offers along with one elective. I have been with these awesome people since the beginning of their photography journey. I have seen them gain the skills to express their selves in photography. Through this journey they have developed a style and voice that is uniquely their own.
Emory is offering a few classes coming up. There will be a Photo 1 class coming up. Photo 1 is a prefect class for getting started with your photography adventure. The class will cover the camera basics. How to take control of the camera so you can push the limits of your photography and not just shoot on automatic. You will learn how to take over the exposure controls of your camera so you get the creative shots you want. Students will also learn essential photographer workflows as well as the fundamentals of industry-standard photo-editing tools, including Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop. Instructor and peer feedback will create hands-on, cooperative experiences as each student works to polish and perfect a portfolio of photographs representing the skills, methodologies and expertise gained via the program.
They are also offering classes for Adobe Lightroom. Where you can learn how to organize your photos and edit the images for sharing. You can explore the technical and visual consideration in the photography by combining hands-on exercises, demonstrations and discussions in the classroom. This is where you will learn your artistic preferences in editing.
