As an Atlanta wedding photographer, I love shooting engagement sessions! They are so much fun! I get to know the couple and the couple gets to know me. It is a lot less stressful than taking photos on your wedding day, where there is a schedule and everyone is looking at the clock. We get to casually walk around and look at locations and lighting and can make a day of it.

As an Atlanta wedding photographer, one of my favorite places to shoot is Piedmont Park. It has some beautiful locations for photography. Generally we walk the entire park and take advantage of everything it has to offer. You have the steps by the soccer field, which are large and made of granite. These steps make a bold statement as a backdrop for pictures. There is also the granite wall where you have one of the best views of the Atlanta skyline. There is Oak Hill and its skyline as well. Then, you have the pier and the water backdrop. Finally there is the little sitting area that many movies and TV shows use as a background with the water, ducks and a view of the skyline.

This particular couple was so much fun! It was an honor to get to know them and we are so looking forward to the wedding! I could tell they were good friends and truly in love. There is no better combination for a partner in life, and it was a beautiful thing to see. They were so open and friendly. I can tell the wedding is going to be a blast!
