Braves Baseball and The Omni Hotel at The Battery

As a seasoned Atlanta wedding photographer, I’m still in awe of the fun, extraordinary locations to shoot around the city. There’s Ponce City Market’s industrial aesthetics, the charming green space of Piedmont Park and the not-so-subtle Atlanta skyline from the Jackson Street Bridge. This week, I had the opportunity to showcase more of Atlanta’s well-known landmarks—SunTrust Park, home of the Atlanta Braves, and the Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta.

What’s special about the Omni Hotel is its proximity to SunTrust Park. Located on the fifth floor behind the hotel’s luxurious elevated pool deck is a spacious, grassed balcony. The balcony’s vantage point permits guests a glimpse at one of Major League Baseball’s newest and coolest ballparks. During this particular early morning shoot, we experienced significant cloud cover. However, we didn’t allow Mother Nature to prevent us from capturing unique photo ops. We took full advantage of the lighting and summer breeze by aligning the beautiful bride with the American flag in the background. The bride’s blonde waves and long train with a detailed lace hem mirrored the flag's red and white stripes waving in the wind. It was a classic American sight to see.
