It is an honor being a Atlanta wedding photographer. Documenting weddings through out the city. This weekend I had the honor of shooting a wedding that took us through out the city. I feel like we hit so many landmarks throughout the city.
We started at the Hyatt Regency in the center of downtown Atlanta. The bride and groom were located in the upper floors of the hotel where the had a great view of the city. After they got dressed they went down to the Suntrust Park and did their first look. We did some fun photos there and we meet the two families and did photos there. After the family was done the bridal party arrived,. They were so much fun! The girls had some great dresses all the same color but each had a unique cut and style to fit their personalities.
Our next destination was the church to get married. We went to the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. It is one of the oldest catholic churches in Atlanta. The cornerstone was placed in 1869 and was finished in 1872. The church has always been the shadow of the Georgia capital. Once inside the church is decorated in the classic catholic church style with stained glass windows and columns down the center of the sanctuary.
The people of this church could not have been more gracious. They opened there home to us with open arms. The priest was open to to a mixed ceremony where part of it was Jewish and part was catholic. They had a chuppah in the middle of the the alter! It was a beautiful wedding ceremony filled with love through out!
The reception was held at Trees of Atlanta. Trees of Atlanta was founded by 1985. Planting trees through out the area. They are a great organization that supports the Atlanta area. Their head quarters can be rented out for parties and receptions. The center uses The Conierge Guy for the day of and organization of the wedding. I worked with Dillard Jones and he was great you can use him as a coordinator at www.TheConciergeGuy.com. The reception was a blast with a live band Enturaj played and did a great job!
Last and most certainly not least want to thank the wedding coordinators through out the day Ellen Thomas and Suzanne White!!!! They were consummate professionals from beginning to the end. Communicating with everyone and keeping everyone on task. Which is a hard thing to do on a wedding day with so many moving parts! Her team are a real asset on your wedding day you can contact them at https://www.ellenthomasevents.com/.
