There is a beautiful wedding ring trend right now, especially for men. While engagement rings usually get all the hype, wedding rings are just one of those details that should never be overlooked in wedding photography. They are the outward symbol of the couple's love and commitment to each other. As an Atlanta wedding photographer, I see more and more often that wedding rings are becoming an expression of the couple's personalities too! I've always admired how a woman chooses her wedding band to match her engagement ring, but no longer do men wear a plain golden band. There are now so many options in unique wedding ring styles. I have gotten to see so many handsome wedding rings for men and alluring wedding rings for the bride.
Atlanta wedding photographers capture unique wedding ring styles
The wedding ring you see at the top of the page was one I thought particularly tasteful and unique. It is white gold with a wood inlay. The two bands matched beautifully, and the bride's band matched her engagement ring. They are subtle, yet gorgeous and reflective of each other.

These particular wedding rings have such a great story behind them. The bride's wedding ring is a classic European style ring with ornate details and a center diamond. You could almost see it in a 18th century painting. It reflects the brides personality perfectly, especially when compared to the simple elegance of her wedding dress. When I saw how unique the groom's ring was, I had to ask him about it. He said that it took him a long time to find a ring that suits him. When he found this one, he felt that it represents that life is both beautiful and messy at the same time. It was perfect.

The ring above is a perfect example of breaking the norms that we think about in wedding rings. This particular couple were fans of comics and comic-con. The grooms favorite super hero is the Punisher, as you can see from the emblem. The bride echoed the groom's color-purple color-scheme and went with a Harry Potter-themed wedding ring with a cross between steam punk and Gothic details. As soon as you meet this couple, you know that these rings fit their personality perfectly.

The wedding ring you see above is what I call the white gold classic. They did not go with gold or overly ornate wedding ring, but instead chose a simple white gold with diamonds that are subtle in design with a fascinating beauty. The diamonds are not too loud, but are displayed for light and to make a statement. The bride's wedding ring matches perfectly and is small enough that she can wear with her engagement ring.
As a wedding photographer, I get to see firsthand how each wedding is unique to the couple. Every detail, down to the wedding rings, reflects their style and personalities. This is what keeps me excited! I love it when a couple is not afraid to be themselves, and their family and friends are there to celebrate their unique personalities and love for each other.
