Your wedding day will inevitably be chaotic and overwhelming. That means you’ll need someone who is steady and can keep you grounded. If things get to be too much or you get overwhelmed, grab this person and go sit quietly in a room with them until you feel more at ease. They can help you put everything into perspective.

The Happy Optimist

This friend is good when you need help staying positive. They can cheer you up whenever you feel anxious in multiple ways. They can list everything that’s gone right, they can help you remember your love for your partner, or even point out a small detail like the nice weather for the event. This person is essential to have around. They’re likely a parent or sibling who are already married. They can listen to your worries or concerns and give you practical advice based on their own experiences. They can be extremely helpful during the wedding planning stage with advice on logistics, but they can also give you practical emotional advice about what to expect in this new chapter of your life.
