I have talked to many Atlanta wedding photographers.  They all like getting to know their bride and grooms before the wedding.  The best way to do that is with an engagement session. 

During an engagement session you have time to talk. You can ask questions and get a feel for what the couple is comfortable with, like are they comfortable in crowds and showing affection in public.  I also ask them how they met each other.  That is a good starting point for an interesting conversation. If they become comfortable with me sometimes I will ask them who said “I love you” first.  That can tell a lot about the couple too.

My favorite subject is their wedding.  You get to know how many people will be there, how many people are in their bridal party, who their best man and maid of honor are. I like to know if they like first looks or if they want to see each other at the altar when they get married.  I get to know their family, like how many brothers and sisters they have.  This is just some of the information that Atlanta wedding photographers need to shoot your wedding.

That is why I include an engagement session with everyone of my packages.  That way the couple gets comfortable with me and I will not be a stranger on their wedding day.
