This week’s couple is Lauren and Justin.  Their wedding was a ton of fun and took place at one of our favorite venues Naylor Hall.

The bride, Lauren, wore her mother’s wedding dress.  They were the same size so she didn't even have to alter it!  It was a modified A line dress with lace sleeves with ruffled trim around the base of the dress and a medium length manageable train. She also had a long veil that came to her knees.  Lauren looked stunning in the dress and it was a beautiful homage to her mom.  There was one more sentimental accessory on her bouquet: her father’s wedding ring. It was so touching that her attire was full of family heirlooms.

When I met he groom, Justin introduced me to his twin brother who would serve as his best man.  After all these years the brothers still look the same, down to their haircut! Justin and his groomsmen wore tasteful grey suits with violet ties that matched the bridesmaids' dresses.  It was a small wedding party of just family. 

Since they did not want to do a first look the first time they saw each other was when Lauren walked down the aisle! It was a perfect spring day.   The skies were clear and it was not too hot for the guys wearing suits.  Lauren and Justin got married on the steps of Naylor Hall.  It made for a stunning backdrop for their wedding.  The family was sitting in the front row and friends were lined up all around the steps.  They were so cute during the ceremony! The bride and groom were both giddy with excitement and looking forward to a life together.  After the I do’s they kissed and raised their arms together in solidarity.

After the ceremony I did a photo session with the couple in front of the wedding venue.  They were so much fun, giggling throughout the photo session!  Once we were done the couple went inside to get ready for the reception. 

Once inside the DJ introduced of the wedding party.  They came in with raunchous enthusiasm. When Lauren and Justin came in they did their first dance as a married couple.  They had told me that they have been taking dance lessons and it came through when they were doing their smooth moves on the dance floor.  They also did an age dance which is when they get all the married couples on the dance floor.  The DJ called  out “ if you have been married less than a year please step off the dance floor.”  Then “if you have been married less than 5 years please step off the dance floor”. He continued until the couple who had been married the longest was the only couple left on the dance floor.  The couple were the groom’s grandparents and they had been married over 60 years!

It was a good time to be had by all. Then it was time for the exit. This kind of exit was a first for me. They had fake snow to throw at the couple when they left! The bride even had a winter shawl to go along with the snow theme. The guests cheered on the bride and groom as they exited the wedding and got into their 1962 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow. A perfect ending to a perfect day!
