It’s hard to believe that New Year’s is less than a week away! With 2023 just around the corner, I thought we’d take a look back at some of Atlanta Artistic Weddings best moments from 2022, all captured by our amazing Atlanta wedding photographers!

The Money Shot

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. This shot from Marianna and Logan’s wedding, featuring the wonderful Primrose Cottage wedding venue in the background, is a favorite for this year. From the angle to the lighting of the sky to the body language of the couple, this picture captures a beautiful, intimate moment between the newlyweds and it radiates the sweetness and elegance that everyone wants at their wedding.

Candidly Comedic Moment

On the flip side, we love when photos show the joy and happiness that comes with weddings as well as the sweet side! This photo from Atlanta couple Chantal and Chris’s upscale wedding caught the candid moment a famous face photo-bombed their wedding shoot. The laughs on their faces truly show how happy they were on their big day and their determination to live in the moment and enjoy life, which is something we should all aspire to do.

High-Flying Proposal

Being a part of such pivotal moments in a couples life is always such an honor! Capturing Vinil proposing to his girlfriend, Ashkata, was no different. Vinil brought fun, unique touches to the proposal, like setting it on the runway of a flight school and also made it personal by having his family help with the preparations. You could definitely see the time and care put into this proposal and sense the love that these two have for each other.

It’s all in the details

It’s always so special when you see a couple do something to make their ceremony their own, and one of our Atlanta brides, Lauren, went above and beyond and wore her mothers wedding dress for her Naylor Hall wedding. Not only was the dress beautiful, it was a lovely homage to her existing family as she begins to create a new family, which is a beautiful thing. To top it all off, Lauren kept the beautiful sentimental value while also making it her own with new accessories. This was definitely a beautiful memory from the year!

Close To home

The wedding of Amanda and Kenny was also very meaningful for our own David Diener. The bride’s father, Russ, is the pastor at David’s church and they have been friends for a long time. They are a truly wonderful family and it was absolutely amazing to see them let loose and experience a day full of joy and celebration. With Amanda’s dad officiating the ceremony, this wedding was full of heart, love, and family just as a wedding should be.

keeping it in the aaw family

We have a few couples, like Amanda and Daniel, who have kept in touch and it is always so exciting to see them take on each chapter of life together. They were an amazing couple to work with at both their engagement session and their wedding ceremony so it was really exciting when they asked David to do a maternity shoot for them. It was raining during the shoot, just like on their wedding day, but they were so fun and up for anything, throwing out their own ideas for props and poses. It was truly an honor to document the beginning of their family!

The wedding seen around the world

This was an AAW first, but it was so special. Atlanta couple Dun and Siming are from China and they met here in the United States where they currently reside. They had family still in China, so they decided to stream the wedding so everyone could be involved.  There is a 12-hour time difference between Atlanta and China, so they started the wedding at 10am Atlanta time. It was just a truly beautiful reminder that even though their family couldn’t physically be together, they are still a family and can still stay connected to share their love and support, no matter what.
