Atlanta Wedding Photographers Capture A Beautiful Wedding At The Four Seasons
This week’s couple is Chantal and Chris from Atlanta. They are a fun loving couple who have some of the greatest friends ever!
The wedding took place at the Four Seasons Hotel in Downtown Atlanta. It is within walking distance to the Piedmont Park and High Museum. When you enter the hotel the first thing you see is an impressive staircase to the second floor balcony and restaurant. Then there is another set of stairs that takes you to the 4th floor to the main ballroom where the reception was held. The wedding was held on the fifth floor terrace area. It is a beautiful terrace where you get to see the High Museum of Art and Peachtree Street.
When I arrived at the hotel the bride and bridesmaids were getting ready in a room on the second floor conference room. The guys were getting ready on the other side of the second floor in the Augusta Room. I arrived early so I could explore and find photo locations. Everyone at the hotel was so helpful. Daniel the event manager gave me a brief tour of the event locations and options for photo locations. I can not thank Daniel enough for all his help! After the tour Sarah arrived and started to work with the ladies and captured the getting ready shots. I started on the detail shots and photographing the dress. Once done with that I started photographing getting ready shots with the guys. They were a lively bunch who worked like a well oiled machine helping the groom get prepared for his big day. Once they were dressed we did their formal photos in the lobby and in front of the hotel. They were a lot of fun! After about 20 minutes of shooting the guys it was time for the first look.
The first look took place at the base of the grand staircase. I put the groom on the stairs facing away from the front door of the hotel. The bride was hiding in a room beside the lobby. She walked out looking stunning! She snuck up behind her fiance and tapped him on the shoulder and he turned around and saw the most beautiful bride in the world. We started shooting a few more photos on the staircase and someone behind me said congratulations! I turned around and it was David Spade! We then took a funny photo of him photobombing the bride and groom! You never know who you will see at Four Seasons! After the formal photos were done Daniel the event manager gave us access to the 52nd floor balcony so we got a great shot of the Atlanta skyline with the bride and groom.
Once the formal photos were done it was show time! We headed to the 5th floor terrace for the wedding. There were about 150 people in attendance. The bride was escorted by her father. She looked stunning in her dress. It was a sort of mermaid cut dress with a long train. She topped it all off with a cathedral veil. The ceremony was presided over by a friend of theirs who happened to be an Atlanta superior court judge who did a great job mixing humor, reverence and poetic quotes. It was a beautiful ceremony that was filled with love.
After the ceremony the guests moved to the reception. There was a cocktail hour beside the ballroom. The doors opened after the cocktail hour and the guests moved to their assigned seating. They were served a delicious dinner from the gourmet chefs from the Four Seasons Restaurant. They were real pros getting the food out quickly. Once dinner was done the toasts began. There was a toast from the best man and the bride's twin sister. After the toast the dancing started! There was a brief break for the bouquet toss and a tossing of the rose petals for a grand send off. It was a wedding to remember! I was so honored to be part of such a special day for Chantal and Chris.
