Fun Wedding in the Heart of Atlanta
This week’s couple is Brian and Preston, who I met at a wedding a few years back. When you go to a wedding you meet a lot of people, but this couple stood out by how excited and supportive they were for their friend, who was the bride. They danced and laughed the whole night. Now a couple of years later they are all starting new chapters. The bride from that wedding is now pregnant, and now Brian and Preston are getting married!
Let me tell you the bridal party was a hoot! No one associated themselves with one groom or the other. They were just a group of people on a mission, to celebrate the love of two people and support them through life! What more could you want from your friends?
The wedding took place at Terminus 330 located in the heart of downtown. The upstairs of the venue is the epitome of industrial chic with an impressive wrought iron entrance that welcomes guests into a large open space with original hardwoods, exposed brick, vaulted ceiling, and warm natural light. The downstairs is a 1920’s inspired space that reminds me of the prohibition days, with original stone work and vintage lighting. There is even a rooftop terrace where you get a panoramic view of the Atlanta skyline.
The grooms wore matching dark hunter green suits by Alberto Nardoni with matching shoes, vests, and ties. The groomsmen wore stylish grey suits with green ties that coordinated with the grooms ensambles. All the suits were adorned with a tasteful boutonniere with a burlap wrap.
The grooms are very crafty and designed all the decorations. They made the triangular wedding arch that they got married in front of, and also designed the flowers, signage, seating charts, and magnets. They even choose their own customized wedding rings. They were so unique and really reflected their personalities.
There were so many thoughtful touches they did throughout the day. Brian and Preston wrote letters to each other and read them before the ceremony. They also had matching green walkie talkies that matched their suits. The grooms used the walkie talkies to communicate to each other at the venue so they would not see each other. They even used the walkie talkies to talk with each other during the first look! It was such a creative and fun idea!
The ceremony itself was very simple. The grooms read their letters to each other and there was not a dry eye in the house, it was unique and heartfelt just like them. Then the moment came where the minister announced that they were married, and a loud round of applause erupted from the audience!
After the wedding we took some time with the wedding party and did photos with the groomsmen all holding their custom fans. We also went to the large Atlanta mural down the street and did numerous photos there. After we were done with the wedding party we did a more intimate photo session with the grooms. We even caught the blue hour on the rooftop of the venue, the perfect setting for photos!
For the reception, there was a variety of dishes for everyone. Some dishes had a southern flair, and there were a few dishes from south of the border. After the food there was the dancing Everyone partied and had a great time! Then we closed out the night with the exit fans in front of the venue, with everyone waving fans as they sent well-wishes to the couple.
This was a wedding that I will remember for a long time. The couple and bridal party were the best! It was also a beautiful wedding that represents Atlanta and diversity that lives there.
