It is an Honor Being an Atlanta Wedding Photographer
If you have been following my blog, you have noticed how many times that I say “it is an honor to be an Atlanta wedding photographer”. That’s because it is completely true. I love photography, especially wedding photography, and I always consider it an honor to photograph every wedding. This is especially true for the ceremony I photographed last weekend.
A few years ago, I photographed the older sister of this bride at her wedding! Yes, I got to photograph the weddings of both sisters! What an honor it is to be a small part of both of their big days. It was so good to see both of them again. It was like seeing some old friends! They are some of the most thoughtful people I have ever met, and they are so fun! They surround themselves with a group of kind, eclectic, and diverse individuals who are full of love!
This week was the younger sister’s wedding, and it was beautiful! The couple got married at the Monaluce Winery and Restaurant. The winery is located in Dahlonega, Georgia in the heart of the Blue Ridge mountains, which is full of rolling hills and vineyards. It is absolutely beautiful, as you can see from the photos. Everywhere you look is like a scene from a movie. There are many cottages around the area with beautiful vistas. The bride arrived with her party at the venue in the early afternoon and this is where the couple got ready for the ceremony.
The wedding was held underneath a great oak near the top of the vineyard. It made for a gorgeous backdrop to a very special wedding. It brought shade for the wedding party and guests, while also being a symbol of strength, longevity and life.
The groom did not see his beautiful bride until she was walking down the aisle. When he turned around and saw her for the first time, he was overcome with emotion. When I looked at them, I could tell they were so in love and cared for each other.
After the wedding, the party began with dinner and dancing! The wedding cake was a model of the vineyard, which looked very cool. The groom was of Persian decent, so there was a knife dance before they cut the cake. It was a lot of fun with the mix of cultures and lively atmosphere!
After much dancing, the couple exited for their honeymoon, surrounded by sparklers and well wishes from their friends and family. Everything was truly beautiful and I had a great time. What an honor it was shoot the two sisters at each wedding! I am truly blessed to be an Atlanta wedding photographer!
