It is an honor being a Atlanta wedding photographer! I get to meet such wonderful people and get to go to such beautiful places! This week’s wedding is Sitra and Salim. Really sweet couple with some really awesome friends!

The day started out with the girls getting ready at the hotel downtown and guys together at the groom’s mom house. While at the mother’s house they preformed a Ethiopian coffee ceremony. They roasted some coffee for the ceremony and it smelled so fresh!!! The elders prayed for the groom and they celebrated with some great food and friends.

We then headed to the Swan House where another family member preformed a small prayer for the couple. After the prayer the group went to the front lawn of the Swan House. Where the wedding party and couple posed for photos.

For a little history on the house you can go to the Atlanta History Center Website. Constructed in 1928 at the end of the depression for Mr. and Mrs. Edward and Emily Inman. The mansion was designed by architect Philip Trammell Shutze. Philip’s decorative arts collection is stored in the basement of the mansion. Ruby Ross Wood designed the interior of the house. The mansion has also been in the backdrop of several movies including the Hunger Games.

Later in the day was the reception for all the guests. The reception was held in the Ballroom on the second floor of the Atlanta History Center. The guests were served delicious traditional Ethiopian meals. They had the father and daughter dance and the first dance as a married couple. After the first dance the wedding party did a fun dance routine that got the guest up on the floor dancing!

It was a evening to remember by all. It was evening filled was wonderful and loving people. It reminded me of why it is such and honor being a Atlanta wedding photographer.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope that you keep coming back. I would love to hear from you please go to the contact section and the website and drop me a line.

Thanks again!
