The one piece of advice that I give every couple that I shoot is “This is your wedding”. I usually say it a couple of times for it to sink in. Couples should be encouraged to be their selves. When they tell people they are getting married two things usually happen. One they say “congrats!” then they start sharing advice.

I love it when a couple is original and comes up with ideas and details that uniquely their own! I love it when a bride can wear comfortable shoes!! She should be able to wear any kind of shoes she wants it is her wedding! When you look at the first picture in the blog this what the bride wanted to wear. She wanted comfortable shoes with a little personality! The tennis shoes were comfortable and the blue sparkle made it sassy!

I have recently done a few comic book themed weddings where they incorporate their favorite comics in to their wedding. You can see in the image below that the bride was a spiderman fan. She decorated her wedding shoes with original spiderman comics. I think they came off fun! The are colorful and unique. Once again let your personality shine through in all the details of your wedding!

At that same wedding as the spider man shoes. The bride kept the wedding rings in a Harry Potter book. As you can see she choose the page with Luna Lovegood on it. So you can see some Harry Potter love on the wedding rings!

Below are custom rings made for the bride and groom. The groom was a big Punisher fan as you can see. His ring has the Punisher logo on it. To bring the two rings were made with Punisher purple accents. Once again I love the fact they are making their wedding their own. Isn’t that what we want? To find some one who gives us the courage to be ourselves!
