Touching and Rustic wedding in the rain | Atlanta wedding photographers
I always talk about how much it is an honor being a Atlanta wedding photographer. This wedding was truly an honor. It was a reunion of sorts. The bride’s family are very good friends of ours. The bride is the same age as my son and they played together when they were very young. So I have known the bride since she was born!
The wedding took place at 9 oaks. 9 Oaks Farm is located in rural Monroe, Georgia. The landscape sets the scene for an intimate weddings surrounded by gardens, trees, and pastoral fields. The Farm is only few minutes from downtown Athens and a short drive from Atlanta.
The authentic 1900’s Dairy Barn has been renovated to include all modern conveniences, while still keeping all the elegant and rustic elements. This is where the ceremony took place. The property includes an Entrance Hall, Bridal Suite and multiple unique outdoor ceremony locations. The Dairy Barn can seat up to 250 guests. 9 Oaks Farm also has onsite lodging where the bride spent the night. There are three lovely houses: the historic White House, Red House, and Tin Barn, that can all be rented the night before or night after your wedding. The staff at 9 Oaks were awesome! Jessica and the other on the team their were so gracious and helped everyone with the weather.
“I love you not because of who you are, but because of who I am when I am with you.”
— Roy Croft
The wedding day was filled with rain through out the day. So there were a lot of umbrellas. As you can see I worked the umbrellas into the wedding photography. So when you get lemons we can make lemonade! Through out the day we worked around the weather. When it started to get dark I noticed that it had stopped raining. So asked the bride and groom if we could go out side and take a few photos. Those photos in the slide show were taken in about 15 minutes very quickly. But I really wanted to give the couple a few more wedding photos.
Thank you so much for visiting this Atlanta wedding photographers blog. I would love to hear from you! Please go to the contact section and drop me a line. I promise to get back to you promptly.
