Kelli + Todd
‘Tis the season to be jolly and in love.
Several weeks ago, we had the pleasure of snapping Kelli and Todd’s early morning engagement shoot at the remarkable McDaniel Farm Park in Duluth, Ga.
McDaniel Farm Park is a gorgeous piece of property located on an early 1930s cotton farm with numerous historic structures and three miles of paved and unpaved trails. Since it’s drawing in the 1820 land lottery, the actual farm has remained moderately unchanged, maintaining it’s original character. However, its functions have changed throughout the years, transitioning from a flourishing farm in the early 1900s to a home for sharecroppers. McDaniel Farm had also faced many hardships during the Great Depression and boll weevil epidemic. This much-admired historic acreage includes a fully furnished farmhouse, the original barn, blacksmith shed, chicken coop, carriage and tenant house and many modern amenities for visiting guests. It was an ideal location for a late autumn engagement shoot.
We arrived early and walked around the park with their family dog trotting alongside—a sweet and photogenic pupper, who was a great addition to some of the photos taken. To give you some history on the newly engaged, Kelli and Todd had met each other while teaching and working at a local Catholic high school—she coaches volleyball while he coaches football. Todd had proposed to Kelli at Anna Ruby Falls in north Georgia earlier this year. With loved ones in attendance, the couple will exchange vows on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the beautiful and historic Naylor Hall in Roswell, Ga. We’re thrilled about this upcoming spring wedding. Naylor Hall is one of our favorite wedding venues to photograph because not only does it have southern charm and unmistakable beauty, but also it’s rich with Georgia history.
Congratulations, Kelli and Todd! We can’t wait to a part of your big day.
